A Timeless Venue for Extraordinary Events

When you host your event at The Davis-Shai House, more is included than just a beautiful venue. From your first guest's arrival to the final farewell, our friendly staff and dedicated volunteers are here to help make your event seamless and memorable.

Our event rentals include indoor tables and chairs, your choice of black or white chair covers, table linens in a variety of colors, tableware, centerpieces, cake cutting and serving, and beverage service of water, freshly brewed tea, and coffee. For weddings, the bridal party can get ready in our suites and our beautiful lawn makes the perfect backdrop to take photos and capture your special day. We also take care of setup and cleanup, so you can focus on enjoying everything.

Additional amenities include ample free on-site parking, Wi-Fi access, a handicap-accessible entrance ramp and elevator service, an integrated sound system, and communication capabilities.

The Fairview Room

The Fairview Room is a bright, welcoming space featuring floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides with beautiful views of the Davis-Shai House gardens. Filled with natural light, it provides a picturesque setting for meetings, showers, luncheons, and special events throughout the year.

In the warmer months, guests can enjoy colorful garden views, while the cozy fireplace creates a warm and inviting atmosphere during the winter. The Fairview Room accommodates up to 32 guests with banquet-style seating or up to 60 guests in a theater-style arrangement.

The Camelot Room

The Camelot Room is a magnificent banquet space that beautifully showcases the historic character of The Davis-Shai House. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows on two walls, a soaring cathedral ceiling, and a stunning chandelier suspended from the cupola above, this elegant room offers a bright and memorable setting for weddings, receptions, showers, banquets, and special events.

Combining timeless architectural details with modern comforts, The Camelot Room accommodates up to 85 guests with banquet-style seating, making it an ideal choice for both celebrations and gatherings of distinction.

Folding doors on the north side open directly into the adjacent Fairview Room, allowing for expanded seating and flexible event layouts for an additional 32 guests at banquet-style seating or up to 60 guests in theater-style seating. French doors also lead out to the Veranda and surrounding gardens, seamlessly connecting indoor elegance with outdoor beauty.

The Veranda

The Veranda offers a charming open-air setting overlooking our beautifully landscaped gardens, creating a peaceful and picturesque atmosphere for your event. Perfect for dining al fresco, for a casual meeting, or wedding ceremony, The Veranda combines the beauty of the outdoors with the comfort and elegance of The Davis-Shai House. This inviting space provides a memorable backdrop for any occasion and can accommodate up to 30 guests.

The Lawn

Surrounded by beautiful landscaping and mature greenery, our lawn provides a stunning outdoor setting for weddings, receptions, community events, and large gatherings. With ample open space and scenic garden views, it offers endless possibilities for creating a memorable event in a natural and elegant environment.

The lawn can accommodate more than 350 guests, making it ideal for outdoor ceremonies, festivals, celebrations, and special occasions of all sizes. For added comfort and flexibility, tenting and seating arrangements can be coordinated through the Heath Community Arts Council, allowing the space to be customized to fit your vision and event needs.

Whether you're planning a grand wedding ceremony beneath the open sky or a large community gathering, our beautiful grounds provide a picturesque backdrop and countless photo opportunities for you and your guests.

Mame's Parlor

Named in honor of Mattie "Mame" Mea Davis-Armstrong, who inherited the historic home in the early 1900s, Mame's Parlor offers an elegant and intimate setting within the original Davis-Shai House. Rich in character and historic charm, this beautifully appointed room provides guests with a unique opportunity to gather in one of the home's most distinguished spaces.

Featuring two large Chippendale banquet tables, Mame's Parlor comfortably seats up to 20 guests, making it ideal for business meetings, private luncheons, dinner parties, and other small gatherings. Its refined atmosphere and timeless décor create a memorable experience, whether you're hosting colleagues for an important meeting or celebrating a special occasion with family and friends.

For those seeking a sophisticated setting with the warmth and character of a historic home, Mame's Parlor offers a truly distinctive venue experience.

The room also works as our Bridesmaid’s Suite for weddings.

Emily’s Tea Room

For more intimate parties, Emliy’s Tea Room can fit up to 7 people. The room also works as our Bride’s Suite for weddings.

The Business Conference Room offers a private entry, restrooms and kitchen. The room is equipped with wired and wireless internet, integrated sound system, state-of-the-art Smart Board, and video conference capabilities. The room seats 50 guests in a classroom style seating. If more room is needed for your event, the Camelot Banquet Room can comfortably seat 150 theater style.
