Davis-Shai House volunteers were among the crowd that assembled to celebrate the groundbreaking on June 13, 2009. Anticipation for the momentous occasion had been building for weeks and the colorfully decorated shovels created by the volunteers clearly demonstrated their pride in transforming the Davis-Shai House into one of Licking County's "Crown Jewels."
